Hi, I’m Madeleine.

Hi there! I’m a product designer currently based in Boston, MA. I believe in approaching problems with curiosity, compassion, and collaboration.

I value…

Curiosity

Curiosity drives my passion for understanding users and stakeholders better. It helps me keep the big-picture in mind, even when I’m focused on details, because I’m always thinking about the underlying ‘why’. I believe that saying “I don’t know” is way better than acting like you have all the answers because it always leads to learning something new.

Compassion

I care deeply about improving people’s lives - it’s what brought me to design in the first place! Bringing compassion into the design process means thinking about our users at every stage. I think it goes beyond that too - really listening to clients and colleagues to understand where they’re coming from.

Collaboration

I strive to bring a collaborative mindset to everything I do. To me, it’s about learning from each other and knowing we’re on the same team, even when we disagree about something. It means asking good questions, really listening, and showing up authentically.

About me

I’ve always wanted to make the world a better place. Good design makes things better, easier, simpler. Bad design makes things frustrating, cumbersome, complicated. As a designer, I’m passionate about making my users’ lives better, bit by bit.

I love the process of figuring out why something isn’t working and exploring how to improve it. My journey to UX design hasn’t been linear, but my love for problem solving has always been at the heart of what I do.

What I like

  • Making stuff (currently knitting)
